อาร์มาดิลโลที่มีขนาดเล็กที่สุดในโลก ส่วนท้ายลำตัวมีแผ่นปิดอยู่เป็นแผงขนยาว ส่วนหางสั้น มีเกราะหุ้มตัวเฉพาะแค่ด้านหลัง ขณะที่ด้านข้างและด้านล่างลำตัวเป็นขนอ่อนนุ่มสีชมพู มีกรงเล็บหน้าที่แหลมคม โดยเฉพาะตีนหน้า อาศัยอยู่เฉพาะแถบตะวันตกของประเทศอาร์เจนตินา โดยอาศัยในพื้นที่แห้งแล้งแบบทะเลทรายเท่านั้น 
  

The world's smallest armadillo.The tail of the body is covered with a long tail panel,
 the short tail with a cover only on the back. As the sides and bottom of the body are soft pink feathers. Have a sharp claw. Especially the forefoot. Live only in the western part of Argentina. They live in desert dry areas only.
